Day 3 At Sea Nov 29 2023

Breakfast tray comes right on time today so gets me out of bed! But great coffee and croissant yet again. It's another day at sea so we hang out at lectures... One on ancient civilizations, the other about tomorrow's port. We do lunch in The Restaurant where we chat with some nice people on either side of our table. Steve gets his Reuben. I have butternut squash soup and an Asian cashew chicken salad. Dinner is a taste of Mexico at the World Cafe. We are getting spoiled by the service at the Restaurant but the buffet is good for a change. Steve tries out the spa and loves it. I watch the sunset right from our room. A very quiet leisurely day. 

Day 2 At Sea Nov 28 2023

We have caught up on our sleep. I ordered breakfast room service and it finally comes with coffee and croissant. It's a decent day out and we snag a table outside for lunch. The ship is making 360 degree turns to re calibrate. Lunch is at the World Cafe. Lots to choose from.  Put on swim suit and head to pool.  I am in by myself for most of the time.  Call Dot. She's a bit out of sorts.  Watch the sunset. It's stunning.  Change for dinner. Have some sushi at the World Cafe before we head to the restaurant for dinner. I have a butter lettuce salad and lamb shank. Steve has Beef Wellington and foie gras. Bread pudding and creme brulee for dessert. Head to Star Theater for crew intros.

Day 1 Travel to Fort Lauderdale Nov 27 2023

We are up and ready for our Uber at 6:45. Can't cancel all of the park dia but get some of it cancelled by calling. We are at the airport by 7:30. Have time to visit the capital one lounge for coffee and breakfast. Plane leaves right on time and we are in FLL a few minutes early. Our Viking guide is waiting for us. Onto the bus and we are at the ship shortly. A quick safety demonstration and then we head to our room. We stop at guest services to get the silver beverage package. Baggage not in room yet but it is time for dinner. We get a glass of wine in the lounge and then head to the restaurant. Short wait but then we are seated. I have a goat cheese souffle and a fish with a chorizo coating and a morel sauce. Steve has beef tartare and a shrimp dish. We love the staff. Pauli is from South Africa. Off to bed.
